My role as the Director of The Innovation Coach is to facilitate, coach, inspire and mentor people/teams from both corporate and sports environments through open discussion and workshops.
Excelling at people management, company strategy, culture, over 10 years of training, coaching and mentoring, I am highly organised, self-starter with a pragmatic approach and thrives on continuous improvement and learning new skills.
I hold a postgraduate qualification in Sport Psychology from IATD, a postgraduate qualification in Enterprise, Entrepreneurial Thinking and Innovation from UCD, certificate in Executive Coaching from PSG.
Organisations that I have recently worked with in both public and private sectors are the Department of Housing & Planning and Department of Health, DCU and DCU Alpha, Matheson, Aviva, Davy, Chartered Accountants of Ireland, LEO Dublin City and Foróige.
My passion is to inspire, lead and encourage people in wanting to “Be the best version of yourself”, a mission statement I truly believe.
I believe that good coaching inspires people to maximise their full potential, build confidence, inspire to grow but also look at areas that need adjusting. It gives you a clear picture of your current self. Coaching helps goal setting and structures on how to achieve them.
I am a highly organised self-starter with a pragmatic approach to business and coaching. I have over twenty years of experience as a managing director and as a sales professional in the technical, solutions and retail markets. I excel at people management, team building, training and mentoring.
Back To College
This past year I have reinvented myself, gone back to college and upskilled with a postgraduate qualification in Innovation, Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Thinking with the Innovation Academy, UCD and a certificate in T&D with the IITD.
Going back to college has allowed me to look at life and opportunities in a different light, to look at my mistakes over the years as a way to learn, to turn them into positives and to let the past take me into the future with a growth mindset.
I have recently facilitated workshops for DCU Ryan Academy in Entrepreneurship on the ESOC Program. As the facilitator and coordinator of the Student Enterprise Program for the Local Enterprise Office in Dublin City Council, I facilitate workshops on Entrepreneurship, Idea Generation, Innovation, Creative Thinking, Growth mindset and social media. The Student Enterprise Programme is Ireland’s largest and most successful student enterprise programme with over 22,000 students each year from 1st year to 6th year taking part by setting up, running a student business and finding out what it is really like to be an entrepreneur.
I’m a passionate advocate for Mental Health and a regular volunteer with SOSAD. Giving and giving back is very important to my core values and beliefs.
I recently spearheaded the formation of CBH youth club in Castlebellingham, County Louth.
My end goal as a coach is to inspire people to inspire themselves.
Why do I do what I do?
I have a deep seeded passion for coaching change, coaching innovation, coaching design thinking and coaching/inspiring people to want to change.
Inspiring a Growth Mindset to achieve whatever change people want in life and be the best version of themselves.
